Poseidon Lifesaving Club has documented all its’ policies and procedure in compliance with the Childrens’ First Act 2015 and ‘Best Practices’ offered by Sport Ireland and Royal Lifesaving Society UK

Registration Form

 

The club membership form requires only necessary information to keep your chiild safe while in the care of Poseidon Lifesaving club. This form must be signed and dated by the Parent/Guardian.

Payment Policy

 

Poseidon Lifesaving Club requests that all term fees and competition fees are paid in advance. This policy outlines all payment methods.

Attendance Policy

 

The demand to join Poseidon Lifesaving Club is ever increasing while at the same time leavers are at a minimum. This is a really good sign for the club. However the new policy is that 80% attendance per term is required to secure a ppace.

Recruitment Policy

All individuals who join Poseidon Lifesaving Club to coach or volunteer are Garda vetted and are required to complete Sport Ireland Safeguarding 1.

All swim coaches are required to have the relevant RLSS UK qualifications.

 

Record Keeping Policy

All records and documents are kept in a safe location and in line with GDPR guidelines.

 

Travel Policy

The Poseidon Lifesaving Club’s travel policy required all adults on club duty to avoid travelling alone with a junior member. It also stipulates that all event travel either within or outside Ireland is the sole responsibility of the Parent/Guardian.

Equity Policy

Equity is about fairness, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone ion society.

 

Incident & Accident Policy

In the event of an incident or accident occurring the instructor should immediately stop the class, ensuring their own saftey and that of all members present.
